Setana, Hokkaido
is a town located in Kudō District (formerly located in Setana District), Hiyama Subprefecture, Hokkaido, Japan.
As of December 2008, the town has an estimated population of 10,190 and a density of 16 persons per km². The total area is 638.67 km².
==Geography==
Setana is located on the northern Hiyama Subprefecture and faces the Sea of Japan. The Shiribeshi-Toshibetsu River flows through the center of the town.
The sole off-shore wind farm in Japan is at Setana,〔("Offshore wind farms planned," ) ''Japan Times, May 9, 2010; retrieved 13 Dec 2010.〕 however it only has two turbines.〔(Kawasaki Heay Industries page on Setana installation, accessed 11 February 2011 )〕
